In Sooke B.C. a native indian group began working on a logde of native stone and timber to be used as a meeting place for all the tribes in Western Canada. The majestic property broke ground on the top of a huge gorge so has spectacular views. The lodge was started back in the late 1970's and has never been finished. It was rumored to be taken over by a land developer to be completed as a resort, but as of 2004 the lodge has never been complete and now sits in near ruin. The spot is particularly spiritual and I think of it as the Lost Castle. |
