A One-Act Comedy

A portrait painter and a writer visit a Toronto tavern that caters to both gays and straights. At another table are a working man and an unemployed man, who is a regular customer in the beer room. A cynical waiter serves and interacts with them all. A young actor, ex-lover of the writer, drops in for a period because he wants something of the writer. The painter has his eye on the working man. The drunken regular hustles them all for cigarettes and drinks. Who gets what he wants?
