(1991)
  John Herbert
A comedy-drama in two acts.

This is not John Herbert's last play but he has said about the piece that it says most of what he has to say about growing old and he would not mind if it were his 'swan song'.

In a nursing home, four people prompt and challenge one another into revealing their individual pasts, their joys and sorrows, their successes and failures. As the residents face illness and death, a doctor and a nurse try to regiment their actions and social behaviour, not understanding the expressions of desire and need that show a passion for life. Four strangers become a kind of family.

6 Characters: Doctor, Nurse, Miliza, Tamara, Anton and MaJor.
1 Setting: Lounge and dinning room of the Nursing home.
