A three act comedy.

Bella Spark teaches acting in a cold studio in the East Village, New York City. She is middle-aged, drinks too much vodka and has been losing students. April, her most loyal young disciple, is trying to both learn from and to rescue her once-famous teacher.
Lily Plume, a young journalist, arrives at the studio pretending to be an aspiring actress. In reality, she wants to write an article on what has become of the once-acclaimed Broadway star. After Bella discovers the truth, all of their lives take off in a dangerous direction that includes blackmail, gangsters, foreign affairs, publishing and a theatre opening.
