I believe the idea of the three sided thrust-stage a good one: the audience
surrounding the cell where the prisoners live will feel close to the characters
and more a part of the action. See this sketch.
It is a good design for the stage set of the cell. I have used this design
and it works very well. To have the thrust-stage, just remove the side
walls in the design as suggested here. I hope
you enjoy playing 'Smitty'. Let me know the out come. If you have any
